Avis is an experienced entrepreneur with over 40 years of general management experience in the IT industry. She is the CEO/founder of Technology Concepts Group International (TCGi), an IT asset management and supply chain solutions provider. 

As a tech industry veteran, Avis is no stranger to the gross under-representation of Black females in STEM, which led her to create the TCGi Foundation.

Avis was named a White House Champion of Change in STEM. She is also the author of Necessary Inclusion: Embracing the Changing Faces of Technology, in which she emphasizes the importance of bridging the gap between women of color and STEM.
